MicroUSB v1 vs v2

Anyone any idea? I think my Xperia Mini uses v1 but I seen the new Sola uses v2.

I'd imagine this means faster transfer speeds e.g. with Media Go (any everything else). If so...I'm very interested. It is very difficult to find info.

Perhaps in theory, the latest version means faster data speeds, but I suspect the difference is minimal.I use both the DCU-60 and DCU-65 USB cables with my phone and haven't noticed any difference between the two. I suppose you could test them side by side using the same phone and compare the speed of data transfer.

Maybe it is minimal, nobody is talking about, particularly not Sony as a useful feature etc. Still, if my next phone has it...all the better.
