I was wondering, since when you use the 64gb Cards you have to format it to FAT32 wich limits the Filesize to 4GB.
What if you use the 32GB card, can the file be over 4GB or would it be limited as well?
Just added a discussion along the same lines as I'm having a similar query. The format is what limits it to 4GB so the only way around it is to
The problem with formatting it is compatibility with Android or Linux. I have yet to recieve a reply on here (and yahoo answers infact) if I get a good answer I'll let you know!
The discussion I started about an hour earlier:
Looks like we're stuck with less than 4GB files for the time being (regardless of capacity) exFAT and NTFS are not compatible with the Xperia Z by the looks of it and Ext2/3/4 (although I haven't checked on this) is not really compatible with Microsoft Windows or OSX only Linux. There are probably work arounds for Ext but for the mean time looks like it's addressing the file size and not the format.. *sigh*

Alright, thanks!
I just ordered a 32GB sdhc Card and i will probably get a 64GB Card aswell just to test it out myself, since they aren't that expensive.
I'll let you know if there is a file size difference on both of these Cards as soon as i get them!
Let's hope we don't have to be stuck with the 4GB file limit.
Actually Xperia Z do have an exFAT support in Japan version SO-02E, some nice guy re-coded the driver files in SO-02E for other versions so now we could using exFAT format all around.
First root your phone, connect it to PC, then download the exFAT mod here http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=370620&uk=3221664026 (click 下载)
Click runme.bat, unplug USB, reboot.
Then turn USB mode into MSC, plug USB again, backup your TF card, then format it to exFAT.
Do you know by any chance if this would work with a xperia SL phone?
