Hi . I got a problem in my experia P . I did cut the sim and inserted it in the slot and got locked and when i removed and inserted it again it didnt get locked so when i gave my mobile for service they are sayin that i have to change the whole motherboard and it wont come under warranty so i have to pay 80% of the mobile cost . I bought the mobile on August 4th and encountered the problem on august 5th please help me . I am having a hard time speaking with the service guy

I'm sure that if you contact the repair center or local support team they can help you to explain what components in the phone that has been damaged.
We always recommend to use an operator supplied micro SIM to avoid damages being made by cutting your mini SIM into a micro.
@Mr Johan : I cut the sim in Vodafone store only and it was properly done,but it didn't get locked so when i gave to service they are askin me to replace the motherboard and it doesnt come under warranty
What do you mean by it didn't get locked?
Since the motherboard needs to be replaced something must have been damaged. Have you spoken to the repair center or local support team? What do they say?
