My Sony Xperia E isn't detecting my mircoSD card for some reason.
This morning i went to look through my music and my microSD was working fine but after i took it out to do something with my card, i put it back and now my phone isn't detecting the microSD at all, i was wondering how to fix it or is there a way to work round it so i can listen to my music again?, anyone else had the same problem!?
- Verify if memory card is correctly recognised by a PC/Laptop and not empty
- Copy all the files on the PC
- Make a deep format using NTF file system
- Insert the memory card and verify
If issue persists try another memory card.
Try to suggestions above. You can also try to clear data for Walkman and Media storage. Go to settings > apps > all > Walkman/Media storage. Restart the phone and wait for the phone to index all media files again.
My Kingston 16Gb micro SD card was suddenly not recognized anymore by my C1505. It has never been out of the phone since I put it in when I bought this phone. The card cannot be read, reformatted or used in any matter. I have tried every possibility. I have asked Kingston support if they can give a solution or replacement, and I am waiting for their answer.
The problem occurred shortly after upgrade to firmware 11.3.A.2.23, but I don't know if this is a coincidence.
A Dutch computer magazine reports several Xperia Z users whose SD cards became corrupt/unusable... Hope this is not the same problem. I have put in an older 8Gb card. It works fine so far.
So if you insert your microsd in a PC/laptop isn't recognised at all?
Your card is faulty and issue could not be caused by a firmware update
The microSD card is not recognized anymore on a PC/laptop either. There is *NO* way to format it.
On the Kingston support site they say there is an issue with Android Jelly Bean (4.1 / 4.2) which can make certain microSD cards unusable. I contacted Kingston and already have got clearance for a replacement by them.
On another (Android) forum where people are complaining about dead microSD cards, someone did a lot of technical research and said that Android Jelly Bean, due to a change in the way it uses microSD cards, heavilly stresses SDcards in such a way that they simply die. It seems to depend on the build-in type of controller in the SDcard.
I using Xperia Z1. Same with me this problem... I still cannot solve... I ask seller phone about what factor corrupted sd card without tell him about broken, and he said coz antivirus software.. I think this logic. Becoz my 2nd Xperia Z1 (my wife) sd card shutdown after I install antivirus software.. So, this problem cannot solve, my sd card receipt bill lost... Cannot claim warranty for change new sd card. Any suggestion from other people to help me?:smileycry:

Do you have an adapter so you can format it using your computer?
