Is this sony ericsson headset compatible withe the xperia Z ultra?  Multiple web shops say it's an possibility.

I have this headset (from my old xperia) but it gives some trouble...

Sony Ericsson MH500 is not compatible with your Sony Xperia Z Ultra since the headset is using an older standard for the 3,5 mm contact (OMTP):

Xperia Z ultra is using the standard CTIA.
