Messaging Problem With Group tex or Texting Multiple Numbers from Contacts

Hello, l have updated my xperia z1 c6903 to android 5.1.1. Everything else works like a charm but sending sms to multiple numbers is really not that helpful. Could someone help me fix this? When l'm sending a text mssg to multiple recipients, the messaging app automatically sets it to MMS. I only want to send multiple SMS to my contact/s since some of them have multiple numbers frm different carriers. Pls help me with this. It is really uncomfortable right now.

Check if you are following these steps to write and send text messages (SMS) to a group:

- From any Home screen, tap the Messaging icon.
- Tap the Compose icon in the upper-right area of the screen.
- Tap the Contacts icon.
- Tap the Groups tab.
- Select the group you want to send a message to.
- If necessary, clear check boxes for contacts to remove them from the recipient list.
- Tap Done.
- Tap the Write message field.
- Enter a message.
- When finished, tap Send.
