Hi, I recently purchased Xperia Neo V, while my cousin was browsing the phone, i think he accidently deleted the message icon. But when i checked, the messaging option itself was completely gone. when I click on messaging - "What's app"is opening and asking for internet connection. I dont get any alerts/ tones for messages - & there is nothing available in settings/ widgets/ apps mentioning anything about messaging.
Also in the timescape widget, i am able to see some message but after 10 secs or so notification comes - "messaging failed"
Please help, thanks
open the app drawer > look for the messaging app > long press it > drag it to the homescreen

if your phone is rooted he could've uninstall the app, if that's the case you could
1) download another messaging app
2) sideload the original app
3) repair your phone with SUS and then re-root your phone
