Messaging crashes when connected to Ford Sync

Whenever my Z1 compact is connected to Ford Sync messaging freezes. The phone then needs to be turned off and on to access my texts. I've done a full factory reset and the problem remains. Is anyone else having a similar problem and if so have you managed to resolve it?

Have you attempted connection to any other hands free devices to narrow down the cause of the issue?

Thanks for the reply Sam. I actually have no other bluetooth devices I can check it with. I'll try pairing it with a friend's car tonight and let you know how I get on.

I have paired it now with a laptop and there were no problems. The phone won't communicate at all with the Parrot car hands free kit I tried to connect it too though. I guess it's a Ford Sync problem. I'll get Ford to update it at the next service. Have you come across this problem before?

Not this particualr one, however incompatibility with Bluetooth profiles can cause a number of issues and this certainly looks like one.

I'll let you know how I get on with the Ford Sync update. If that doesn't work I'll be back to pick your brains!
