message centre changing

I can't receive and send text SMS because the SMS centre is ''unknown'' and I can't select that field to enter the right number. I've forgot to say  I have xperia P

Try settings-apps-all-messages,clear data and restart the phone.Backup your messages before.

Have you tried removing your micro SIM from your phone and putting it back in?

I think it is related to either the SIM or the phone itself.Take it into service:

i put the sim in another phone and it works fine. i wrote to service and i w8 for the answer.
