My Mini Pro mentions little space in phone, so I changed the MicroSD card, I used 8GB now I have 32GB but still the phone mentions little space in Phone memory.
What should I do? The sd card is recognized, but also after formatting I still get the message little space in phone.
Please help!
It's probably referring to the internal memory and not the memory card. Please try to clear your applications cache to free some space.
I am clearing my applications very often because this problem with the internal memory is happening over and over again, I would be happy if Sony could develop an app that allows you to install things on the microsd card instead of installing every app in the phone's own memory....
In order to save applications to your memory card your phone must be running on Android™ 2.2 or above. Another solution would be to update your phone software: http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/
Nessa, I do update my X10 Mini Pro regular, I do have the latest software, I don't think Android 2.2 is available for the X10 Mini Pro?
It isn't, but if you repair the phone software you're less likely to get this message, at least until the memory fills up again.
Nessa,
I was a fan of Sony Ericsson phones, but now I am not sure if Sony will be my next phone, only if it is possible to use a MSD card for installing apps, that's what makes it fun to use a smartphone....
I am a little disapointed now, happily I found a few apps that use the card for storage, for example K-9 e-mail app....
Sony is not planning any update of android on this phone?
there are ways around it
1) you can install a custom ROM 2.2 or 2.3
or
2) you can format your SD card then partition it so you can use it as internal storage for apps
let me know if you want to do either or
Hi uliwooly,
I do hav a lot pictures and music on the card, I wil have to upload all that again after formatting, I think the first option should be better for me, but you have to help me out with that....I don't have any idea how that works...

No problem
here you go 2.3
Xperia X10 mini pro

you have to keep in mind that flashing Custom ROMs could void your warranty.
there are some trade offs like you can't have High Quality pictures and ANT it's not working.
