Memory & Play Store Problem

Hi. I got a Sony Xperia Tipo, and so far when I used it, I encountered 2 critical problems:
1. the first problem is the memory, somehow the built-in gallery app & xperia gallery can't read new photos that I copied from my computer using USB. the same with the built-in music player, it can't read new musics--and always revert my ringtone back to default. I've tried many fixes: clearing the cache, restarting the app, even factory reset, but none worked, I must remove the memory card and insert it again, so the phone may scan all the media again. Help ??

2. the second problem comes after awhile, at first the play store works just fine, but then around some time ago I can't search app, any app!! despite the wifi is connected. But now, I can't even open play store properly, it always says "connection timed out" or "no connection", even though my wifi is connected.. help?? again?

What file formats are the images and music files in and where are these from? Are all of these on the SD card in the phone or have you tried transferring some to the internal storage to see if that helps?

In regards to the PlayStore query have you tried clearing the data from the app then trying to search again? Are you able to use the WiFi connection for other applications which require internet access?
