This is my main annoying issue with Xperia S.
I've got the latest firmware aka .55 but there still is problem regarding memory usage.
When it start up RAM will be free around 250 MB then it starts declining until it below 100 MB normally it takes about few hours. Then when evere I start using any apps even phone book or contact lists, it will take almost forever to show up on screen and any games never possible to play. All I can do is install RAM Booster Pro to clear apps that load in to the RAM. It would help only for a day after that my phone RAM will use up and the restart is obvious.
I do have a lot of contacts currently 1,400 names, if it will be the case. Use only ordinary wallpaper did not help either.
Can anyone, please tell me how to fix this? I am on the edge of get rid of it and take Note II from Samsung, instead.
delete all your sms/mms and call logs, that create some lag, or use a different dialer app
that is how ICS works and installing things to clear the RAM will just keep the phone busy reopening them. If ICS needs the RAM it will close running applications down.
If this is true, then this design is seriously wrong since the system will not servive the full day. All games even the simple one will not run normally. ICS will never supply enough ram to app when needed to.
I found out that not only my habdset have had this problem. My friend got the similar problem with her XS too but she does not know the cause of this issue.
If it is stupid like this, this model would be my last Sony Android phone.
Yes, it help a little bit. But after 12 hours of usage, it would take a minute to make a call. It is very quick, isn't it?
my suggestion is to use a different Dialer app
