Memory Card Unmounted or Unavailable

Hi

Recently i went to put some CD's off my computer onto my Xperia L, but connecting it to the computer seems to have wiped all my media data from my phone

All the songs previously on the walkman have gone, and everytime i go to access my photo album, it says "Memory Card unmounted or unavailable"

I have tried updating my phone many times, turning it off and on, and have taken out the battery, sim card and memory card and put it all back with no luck

is there anything i can do about this? any help will be much appreciated as the photos are irreplaceable and it wont let me put songs on my phone anymore

You should connect the card to your PC via an adapter and format it.

how do i do that? 

Iv managed to put songs on the phone before, its just that this time it seems to have caused a problem with the memory card

plus im not sure the phone is being recognised by the pc

Remove the card from the phone.Didn't you get an adapter with the card?

its the memory card that came with the phone

Try another SD card in your device.This one may be broken.
