Hello Johan,
I would like to know a couple of things before I upgrade my loyal Acro S to the Z1C
1st) Is it possible to use the microUSB port WHILE the phone is charging with the dock DK32? Does the dock covers the flaps of the port, or is there space to open them?
I want to know this, because I use my current Acro S plugged to the TV a lot, and the HDMI port can be accessed while docked. Also the microUSB serves for USB OTG and MHL... and having those features while connected to a TV is a big plus, since it turns the phone more like a computer...
2nd) Is the newer Movies app compatible with some kind of subtitle? .srt?
Finally... is this phone able to pair with the Play Station controllers like the SP?
Thank you very much,
Diego.
Add a xenon flash alongside the led so the phone actually can take pictures in low light, sort out the awful picture quality processing software & Sony will have a winning phone.
I do get the feeling Sony deliberately doesn't want to make there camera phones that brilliant as they are afraid it will rob sales of there cheaper digital cameras.
I'd go out & spend my money on another Sony smart phone tomorrow if they adress the issues above on the Z1 Compact replacment whenever it comes.
can i know the price in malaysia??
Just ordered mine direct from Sony with the free SmartWatch 2 SW2, seems to be the best deal out there at the moment, really looking forward to getting my hands on a really well spec'd reasonable size mobile.
When is it coming to India?
I love this phone and it's the only thing making me regret buying my Z1 which I love as it has all the same features (and hopefully battery life) in the perfect size form factor, BUT there is one thing holding me back before I take the plunge for another new phone.
When will Sony (or most other phone manufacturers barring Apple) realise it's all well and good giving the phone a superb processor and screen to run the best games etc out there but since Google took the ever so strange move to be selective of what you can store on external SD cards (basically photo's, music and video's) we need a bigger internal storage, 11GB means I have to choose which game I can carry around with me till however long it takes me to complete as most decent games are 1.5 to 2GB. 2 of those a few goolge play magazines and 1 download from iPlayer or 4OD and you get constant reminders that "your internal memory is over 75% full, move something to ext SD" then an empty list as you can't move any of the media.
I find this frustrating on my Z1 as I travel a lot so would like to be able to take all my games, magazines and iPlayer/4OD content with me on long flights or for when I'm in a hotel with rubbish or overly priced restrictive WiFi as I used to on my 64GB Iphone 4.
Phone makers need to either push Google to re-open the External SD storage for ALL media of fit larger internal memories to be able to store these immovable apps, 32GB (or 27 as it would actually be) would be enough but in this day in age with big games, downloadable TV we need bigger storage and do you know what there is a lot of us that would pay the extra for it.
The Z1 Compact is a superb phone but lets hope the Z2 compact comes with a class leading battery, a camera that can match it's day and night camera ability and at least 32GB of internal storage then we have probably the best phone ever made.
