Media problems. Album, Movies, Walkman & others.

This happened a few months ago but still no solution. After upgraded to Jelly Bean, all photos does not appear in the ALBUM, the videos does not appear in the MOVIES, the songs do not even have in the WALKMAN playlist. Also, when I connect the phone to the laptop, phone/external card folders does not show up in the SONY XPERIA J device in My Computer. Other problems, cannot set ringtone using songs from external card. It will switch to the default tone automatically. I am very sure this is not the memory card problem because I already check a few times and it still works fine. I still can manage files by taking out the memory card and connect it to the laptop. Now, I'm using other applications instead of ALBUM, MOVIES, WALKMAN, to view all the photos, watch the videos, and listen to the songs. The applications that downloaded can read all the data in the phone and memory card without any problems. I found, this problem does not happen to me alone. Many XPERIA J users have complained about this matter. Please SONY, fix this as soon as possible. I love SONY since few years ago, but, when this happens, feel like want to switch to another product. Very disappointing. Slightly_frowning_Face

As this has happened when you have updated the phone I am included to believe that an error has occurred during this process. With this being the case please run a repair to reload the firmware:

To repair the phone software
1.     Install PC Companion on a Windows PC from Support
2.     In PC Companion, under Support Zone and click Start.
3.     Under Phone Software Update, click Start.
4.     Click repair phone.
5.     Follow the on-screen instructions.

I'm having the same issues. All Mp3s are missing all photos are gone. (everything is still there when in file manager) Turn the phone off and on, with and without taking the battery out doesn't help. Randomly becomes available again on its own. It's been doing it since the phone was new. Gets kinda frustrating!

Done this a number of times to no avail. Wouldnt it be a better option to update the system with a fix for these bugs? Customers spend a lot of money for these devices to be told we have to fix YOUR problems OURSELVES.
