Media is missing

I bought my Sony Xperia J last November and was a happy user back then. But after installing the new updates, I have yet to be able to view my media (photos, music, videos etc) as usual. It keep on displaying "there are no items in your collection" messages. How do I go about this? please help thanks

Try settings-apps-all,album and movies,clear data and restart the phone.

That solution working fine but it is not permanent. After some time my walkman app "loose" media again and more to it... custom song set as notification for ringer are "lost" to. Media not deleted just not read...

Im looking for more permanent solution...

I think you have an antivirus or task killer that could do this.
