Media Go library update

Why Media Go library update is so SLOW!! It takes days to update my 17 GB library from scratch (I installed a new hard drive)... really too slow! My laptop is not doing anything else than letting Media Go update the library.. and it's quite fast DualCore 2.2 GHz laptop! iTunes and Windows Media Player complete the process in an hour or so ...

Thank yo for this feedback. I will let the team behind Media Go know and hopefully it can become faster in later versions.

Ok I would do this:

1. *DEFINITELY make sure Sense Me is turned off for now. You can renable it later if you want.

2. Turn off check anything on Gracenote. You can renable later.

3. Make sure nothing else is burning the CPU e.g. burning/ripping CDs, games, HD video.

I suppose your library is finished updating now?

Thanks for the suggestions. To improve the Library Scan I temporarily disabled the Windows Search index function, and it run faster, but anyway still slow of compared to other media players. Using also your suggestions as on 1. and 2. for sure make the process even faster..
