You have to enter a phone number when setting up the McAfee Mobile security app in order to get an alert text message in case your phone gets stolen or a new SIM card is inserted.
Beside yourself, you have to add at least one friend when you register. You also need an active Internet connection when you register.
You can add up to nine friends's phone numbers so that they can get alerts too.
