Massive data consumption from e-mail app

Hi,

Just recently noticed that my data consumption was getting higher and higher, it started 2 days ago that now my e-mail app is consumming 1.65 GB of background activity and I have received a SMS from my data supplier that I have used 90% of my capacity for this month! Also this is draining up my battery like crazy , in less than 1 hour my battery went from 100 to 55 ..... Am I the only one that happens to have this problem? I appreciate your comments and advises.

My cellphone model is SK17A =/

PD. Could it be for the ICS update?

which email app? how often do you sync? how many folders? how many emails?

The following screenshots show you how it behaved during these past days .... I put it to sync every 5 minutes, but I barely receive emails (just 10 or 12 a day).... I just have 2 accounts registered, both Hotmail ....

it's probably syncing all your emails, open the app and check how many days and folders its syncing

I have checked and there is no folders to sync , since I did not put it to sync ...
