Marshmallow update causes sudden death

Hoping somebody can help...had phone for year and half and been perfect..since Android update last week I experienced sudden death...lost power and could not restart..tried resetting using all advice and linking to pc...only solution was to remove back and take battery out...that worked straight away and confirmed my battery was at 77%. Thought all was ok then phone died again the next day it would not wake from standby....luckily I connected charger and it allowed me to power up but battery showing as 85% and phone continued to work all day....next day same again....
There is clearly an issue with the latest marshmallow update...I take it other people will experience this..

I'm thinking of removing the android update...does anybody have advice on how to fix this...so annoying to loose phone power for no apparent reason....thanks

are you saying that you removed the battery from your Xperia Z3?

Disconnected it to get it working after 1St sudden death.reconnected battery after that..phone fine but like I said every day when on standby it dies...by plugging in charger my phone restarts and there is plenty of battery remaining....thanks for your reply - maybe I should try a software repair? Just wanted to know if anybody else had this problem since marshmallow update....

I've found the root of the problem...the marshmallow update has introduced a fault in the software.

Whenever the phone automatically powers into standby then there is a good chance that you will at some point experience the sudden death issue...I can get round this for now by extending the display on time to a max of 30 mins...by pressing the power button to put phone in standby the sudden death does not happen...

This is so annoying and sony must recognise this and provide an update to correct the problem....there are loads of other people on the net reporting this problem...

What to do need to know specifically...?

Basically when my phone goes into auto standby it does not wake up...power button does not work etc... Have to plug into charger then power up despite my battery being fully charged...
