Marshmallow Update: Bluetooth problems in car

Hi all,

yesterday I executed the update to Marshmallow. The overall look and feel has improved and it feels like a new phone.

But:

I have a lot of problems with the hands free system in my BMW.

First it took me multiple tries to start a call and if i have no running call the phone reconnected to the car all the time. Later I noticed an error message on my phone: Bluetooth opening/approval has crashed, or sth like that (German: Bluetooth-Freigabe ist abgestürtzt).

I deleted the cache of the app, executed the volume up + power combination to clear another cache and deleted the car in the bluetooth and reconnected it.

The first problem is gone, but now I am not able to get my phonebook into the car and before you ask: yes the allowance in the bluetooth menu is set for my car. It was allowed by default, no question from the phone.

How can I solve those issues? I really like my phone and just thought about buying a new Z5, but if the Bluetooth isn't working with my car any longer --- its not good.

Thx and KR

Holger

Hi all,

I'm thinking about buying a new Z5, if my bluetooth issues on my Z2 after marshmallow updated can be sorted out.

My concern, which I hopefully get sorted out before:
I have a Z2 as private Phone and a Galaxy S5 as business phone. The Z2 worked - until marshmallow upgrade - perfect with my car. The S5 is not working good with my car. If i'm on a call with my Hands free kit of BMW the other person sounds like a robot.

I am not looking for a solution regarding my S5 Problem, I am looking for a statement/reason that the Z5 will work with my car. The compatibility list of BMW is much outdated - car designed in 2005/2006 and the list was never updated.

Thx and KR
