loving my z1 but needs some refining

Hi like the title suggests I am loving my z1, however there are a couple of issues that need addressing.

Firstly I cannot throw music to or from my z1 to sony tablet xperia s using the walkman program and music unlimited.

Both devices are registered as I can use them independantly.

Secondly the dialer needs updating as unless I am missing something I cannot find the option to block numbers and create speeddials.

Thirdly the camera is nice however the software has some flaws, why does it resort to superior auto mode every time it starts irrelevant of previous mode selected.

There is way too much noise at anything but the lowest iso setting.

When connecting the dsc qx10 why can I not use the shutter button built into the camera.

Also for some strange reason audio information will not broadcast over bluetooth even though it did previously on my samsung glaxy s2

I know it sounds like a moaning post but believe me I am genuinely impressed by the phone.

Hey uliwooly, thanks fo your help however

Settings > call settings > call blocking

Is not an option on the z1

Settings > call settings > call barring

Is but is something different, I would like the ability to block incoming calls, call barring only blocks outgoing.

Thanks for the effort anyway

To access media in your phone from your tablet you can enable the media server in the phone under Settings -> Xperia Connectivity -> Media server settings. Then search for DLNA-servers from your tablet and it should find your phone.

To block a number you need to save the number as a contact under contacts. When you create/edit that contact you have an option at the bottom for always sending it to voicemail.

When you open the dialer or contacts you have a tab with a star. Here you see starred contacts. You can also long press on the homescreen to add a shortcut to a contact.

We have forwarded this feedback regarding the camera.

Do you mean song information and ID3? Depending on the device you connect to you may have to download and install an app for it. If you for example have a Smart Wireless Headset you need to download the app for it from Google Play for this to work.

Why is it not possible to block specific numbers without adding them to contacts? The reason for blocking/blacklisting numbers is that you want nothing to do with them, so spending time adding them to contacts makes no sense. And most other android phones has this option.

Not sure why this decision was made during development. Personally i like it, i have one contact where i add all numbers i want to block but you could also download a call blocker app instead if you don't want to add the numbers in a contact. Haven't tested any 3:rd party app for this but search Google Play for call block and you'll find several apps for this.

I have identified the problem in regards to the id3 tags. It is when playing music through the walkman app with music unlimited tracks. The id3 information isn't been broadcast to the receiver (in car stereo) although it is with other tracks.

That should be an easy update to the phone- the ability to block a number without adding to contacts! Apple did this on recent update! Don't want to downlod a 3rd party app! Should be standard nowadays with the loads of marketing calls people get!
