Loudspeaker does not work during phone call

I have recently upgraded my Xperia T to the latest software available. Shortly after I noticed during a call that when I pressed the loudspeaker button to try and use it hands-free that nothing actually happened. The sound was still coming out at a normal call volume. I have adjusted the volume in call which makes no difference. Interestingly when I hang up the tone that plays comes out the louspeaker as though it was one, just not the voice. The loudspeaker also works for everything else such as playing songs on walkman.

Is there something I'm missing or is there possibly a problem with hardware/software. This problem has only happened since I updated to Jelly Bean 4.1.2.

If only happens with phone calls, this looks like a software issue (one more issue to add to the Xperia T issues).

Take it easy. Usually Sony ignore T users and our complaints and do not fix any issue for this phone.

It sounds like there was error in the loading of the firmware when you updated it. In this case you can likely resolve the issue via running a repair:

To repair the phone software
1.     Install PC Companion on a Windows PC from Support
2.     In PC Companion, under Support Zone and click Start.
3.     Under Phone Software Update, click Start.
4.     Click repair phone.
5.     Follow the on-screen instructions.
