Lost phone lock code

Hi,

Ive lost my phone lock code. Do I have to "hard reset" the phone or enter a NCK code? If so where would I find the code?

Thanks

You need to take to a service centre to get it unlocked.

A Sony service center? Ive called the Sony support number from this site but was told they wouldnt help me.

That's very strange. What reason did they give you? Are you sure it's the phone lock code or the network unlocking code you're talking about?

LolI thought so too. I was told that the phone was out of warranty (which didnt matter since I offered to pay to have it repaired). And its the phone lock code. The SIM is fine but im assuming I inadvertantly put the additional phone lock code in play. As far as the network code (NCK?) I kept coming across instructions to get to the screen to enter a NCK code.

I wonder if the SE Update service will help.

Download, install and launch the update service on the PC. Follow the onscreen prompts.

The phone lock code cannot be recovered, if you have forgotten it, so the phone has to be unlocked by a service centre. The SIM lock code, if forgotten, can be overidden by using a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code which is specific for the SIM card and you can obtain it from your mobile network, or sometimes the PUK code is printed on the SIM card holder. As for the NCK (Network Code Key) code, this is needed to unlock the phone from a particular network and is usually available by that network.

Thank you for defining that for me. As there arent any near me and since Sony will not repair it I guess thats it.

Thanks I will try and let you know if that does anything.
