lost contacts

When I turned on my mobile phone all my contacts were gone and I could not make new contacts. please help me!!!

if you did't delete them, probably then you just need to filter them

contacts>press menu / options key > filter > mark everything under display contact option

The same thing happened to my phone.. Filtering doesn't work.. Second disaster of a Sony phone. I'll never buy 1 again.. All my contacts disappeared, ringtone changes regularly.. Crazy phone setup..
