Loss of network signal during calls & drops out - Z3 Dual D6633

Hello and thanks for the time to read

I have recently purchased a Z3 Dual sim D6633 and around twice a day either when receiving or making a call the phone suddenly drops out during conversation and both network strength bars are showing no signal. a message briefly shows up saying no no network signal ( or something to that effect ) then dissappears. A few seconds later the signal comes back for both sims and all is ok again.

I have absolutly no idea why this is happening but its becoming frustrating especially when I have to call clients back....

Has anyone experienced this before or know a fix for it. currently Sim 1 is set for GSM only (2G) and Sim 2 for LTE. both are on Telstra.

The phone updated to the latest version when I got it and to my knowledge hasnt updated since - 5.0.2

Would really appreciate your help with this, thanks

Nice! They can moderate my comment asap, but they do not take the trouble to solve the problem, or answer to us. Doesn't matter, I already solve the problem, I bought a Huawei P9 dual today. All the best guys!

hard ?
No !
This is simple lack of respect for the customer - they have us.
They didn't even answers the questions in their own forum ...
That's why I left samsung - the same ignoring the problems.
Even in Japan they do not have the honor.
Their's motto: Sell and forget.
My advise for us is the same: sell the crap and forget... about Sony.

Sony Mobile is committed to providing the highest standards of product quality and customer service for all of our products. We are aware of a small (?!) number of  customers...

Rickard ! - where your honor is ?

My phone (D6633) was suffering from this with Lollipop. Now it's gotten worse with Marsmallow. Not only does the call drop on SIM2 during longer calls, after dropping the call mobile data stops working (LTE disappears from the top of the signal bar and there's no connection). Only a restart (that takes almost 5 minutes) brings data back. I tried to trigger every single possible network related setting there is, to no avail. In Lollipop everything went back to normal in about 10 seconds.

I went through a lot of fixes. Also my phone had some other issues so everything except the main logic board has been replaced under warranty. Antenna module, screen, frame,...

I don't know whether this is generic a dual SIM chipset issue or a Sony specific issue. This is my first dual SIM phone and I'm thinking about never ever buying one of these again no matter how comfortable it is to get rid of my second phone.

EVERY Sony Z3 Dual user I know (and I know 9 of them) has this problem! Not 'a small group' as you mentions.

Only a small group has REPORTED it because most users don't expect a solution from you and solve their problems by switching to a different phone.

It was an inconvenience on Android 5 as you had your call disconnected but after some 5-10 seconds mobile data worked again.

Now, on Android 6 it's not an inconvenience but a DISASTER as after the disconnect you have to fully restart the phone to get mobile data back.

Sony, what are you thinking? I've been a loyal Sony customer for the last 4 years but I'm thinking of switching to a company that cares about its customers more.

Please provide a solution ASAP

I have the same problem. Set to LTE, cannot call, set to H+ you can call but now It became worse, my signal is 2g and I was able to make a call but what the heck, how can I able to search on the internet faster with this signal. I have been to Vodafone customer center twice, they even changed the sim card but the problem is still not fix.

I reset my phone already and also did the software phone repair thru PC companion.
