Logging in to the app using either a sony user id or gmail

Hi,

I have two phones (personal and work). One is an xperia, the other a nexus 4.   I have tried my smartband on both phones (just for fun!). I don't need to use them simultaneously (although that would be good) but I'd like to be able to use the same ID on both.  I have found that I can log in to Lifelog using a google id on the nexus (there is no option to use a sony id) and vica versa on the xperia - no option to use a google user id.

If I'm going to bother to log all this data I don't want to lose it if I switch phones away from sony in say a year's time. It would be great if I could use either type of id on either phone.

Other than that - its great!  Looking forward to future developments - ps - any chance of an average walking pace too, like that given for running - that would be good!

Thanks,

Melanie

You can sign in with two Xperia phones to the same SNEI account but at the moment non-Xperia phones doesn't support SNEI account sign in and that is why you can't sign in with the same account with your phones.

Thanks Johan - how about signing on to the xperia with a gmail account? Is that possible then I can use that for both phones - I already have the gmail account set up on the xperia for email...

Yes, would really like to know how to sign in using Google account not SEN because there was no other option but logging in using SEN account on my xperia Z2. Anyone knows how to do that?

That's exactly what I wanted to know. Didn't get a decent answer on my query though. Reason I want to use my Google account is I know my next phone will be an android phone. Not so sure my next phone will be a sony.

There are no plans on implementing Google account log in in Xperia devices on markets where SNEI is available.

But there are plans on introducing SEN account log in on non-Xperia devices so switching between Android devices shouldn't be a problem as long as you're staying in the same country.

Thanks for the reply but funny thing is I live in Lithuania where SEN is not available and all I got was to login using SEN account so what's the catch here?

I agree that there's should be a unified way to log in if Sony continue to offer smartband/lifelog to other Android devices. Has been using the smartband /lifelog for around a month now on another device and switched to Xperia Z2 yesterday. Then realise i can't use back the same lifelog account. Lost all my data for that month. Not playing nice.
