Lockscreen: Full Screen Artwork/Widgets

Hello,

Could I request that full screen widgets be enabled in the next firmware update? Or at least an option to turn them on. I would like to use Dashclock maximised to go direct to the app from a notification. Gmail, whatsApp etc.

Also could full screen artwork be enabled? It currently doesn't work for the Walkman or Play Music.

These reqeusts are only a superficial but would improve usability options a lot.

I agree with that. It is very annoying that the lockscreen widgets get cropped and not shown in full size.

you onto something there would look nice if they did but i reckon the use of lockscreen widgets is to briefly check something not to dwell on it but would be nice if the music app had full screen for the songplaying showing only the album art and when you swipe to the next it just moves to the album art that would be really nice

OK, so the problem is that in stock Android lockscreen widgets are shown in full size by default. Because of that some widgets are not designed properly to be minimised in a way Sony lockscreen does, instead they got just cropped and the end result is not elegant. So having an option to  leave default Android functionality would be nice.

I installed AcDisplay for the notifications. Acts as a screen before my pin and works really well for me personally. I have effectively removed dashclock because of this.

This won't be for everyone and its based off of the Active Display from the Moto X.

I can live without the full screen album art, but it would be nice to have considering how nice the screen is!

Yes, exactly there is a lot of real estate on the screen. I use DashClock and it is fine because it is very well designed so it minimises nicely, to see more details I have to swipe down to maximise the widget.

But I still think settings should have lockscreen section and there could be option to enable full-size widgets.

Other useful option would be to lock the widgets, currently when you swipe left/right you can navigate from one to another, but I use only one widget on main screen and when I want to maximise it by swiping bottom, sometimes my swipe gets recognized as swipe left.

I completely agree the options for this should be added so we can control the lockscreen behaviour.

It would also be nice for those who use the walkman app to get full screen artwork as well.
