Same problem here. I set a 4 digit pin to lock my new Xperia SP and it now won't accept the pin. It is definitely the one I set but it has locked me out. I tried the approach highlighted above but the PC Companion will not recognise the phone unless it is unlocked. Any other ideas?
Sony update service, repair and remove the lock.
Did you try with Pc Companion or Sony Update Services? Or just tried with Pc companion?
I downloaded SUS but Xperia Sp was not one of the listed handsets in the menu for support?
Thanks so much guys. I found elsewhere on the forum that the reason that the Xperia SP wasn't showing in SUS was a Windows 8 issue. I found an older laptop running Windows 7, installed SUS and reinstalled the software as a repair, now I can get access to the handset. Thankfully I had already backed it up.
Good thing you did there, glad you are ok.You could have run sus in compatibility mode for W7.
