Lock screen after update

Ever since the new update, about 30% of the time when I lock my screen with the power button and turn it back on, I don't get the "swipe to unlock. It's like it never locked at all. I have only had my xperia z2 for a few months. Before the new update everything was working fine. Now this issue! I'm not liking the new update.

How to boot on safe mode on Lolipop
1. press and hold the power key
2. once you get the pop up menu 
3. press and hold "power off" 
4. Boot on safe mode should become available

When you go to Settings > Security > what does it say under screen lock?

I have my security set for the "swipe" option. But the issue is that sometimes it doesn't even give me that option. It just goes right into whatever application I had open last

And yes, it even happens in safe mode

Perhaps you have the double tap to wake up function on, if you go into Settings > Display > is that function enabled?
