Hi, today I had this problem several times: when pressing the lock button and keeping it down to get the "power off / airplane mode / take screenshot" screen, nothing happens (apart from the screen locking when I let go), meaning that the only way to power off is to do a hard reset (lock button + volume up).
Any ideas? Thank you.
I've had the same problem, yesterday I wanted to make a screenshot and all the button does was lock and unlock the screen and it didnt open the "power off/airplane/screenshot" screen. After reading this post it did help to hard reset.
I have to say it botters me that this happens to such a new (state of the art?) smartphone.
I hope this will be fixed/explained soon. Thank you.
Did you install any new app prior to this problem and if so, have you tried to remove that app?
Is your phone updated to the new software that ends with .434?
you could try settings - allaps - lockscreen and clear the cahe
As an aside, I just discovered by accident yesterday that pressing the power button and holding the volume button down takes an immediate screenshot. Is this a Sony feature, or part of the Jelly Bean software?
What is the specific name of the number? is it the ''Smallbandversion'' or Kernel or build?
It is an android feature
Its the build number
