Limit to adding addresses when trying to compose a Gmail?

Hi

I realise this may be a Gmail specific problem and not an Arc problem. When I am composing a Gmail and adding addresses in the To: field, I add 5 or 6 using the normal auto-suggest of email addresses in my contacts. But when the To field has expanded to a certain point and I try to add an additional email address, I cannot read the email address that is being suggested. It's as if it pops up behind the to field. I can see the pop up dialogue box which contains the email address I (probably) want to add but I can't read it, much less touch it to include it in my list of recipients.

I hope I am making myself clear.

Anyone else come across or solve this problem? I want to be able to add more than 5-7 email recipients while composing a new gmail email. Slightly_smiling_Face

Am on 2.3.4, LT15i.

Thanks

Hi there, just trawling un answered posts and saw yours.  Had a play with the native Gmail app in the phone and you are spot on - it all goes horribly wrong after the first five.  So the solution, download a mail app such as K-9 (my preference) or Maildroid (also very good).  On K9 you simply type in your gmail address and password and it sets it up for you.  When you compose you get a persons head with a plus sign at the top right of the screen and this presents you with your contact list and you keep simply tapping on this and adding as many as you want.

Hope it helps.

Thanks Suze. I guess it's nothing to do with SE, rather a Google problem. Maybe I will just hassle them instead as I don't want more apps, if I have Gmail I shouldn't need an additional email app. Especially since my Arc is already constantly telling me "Phone storage space is getting low".

Thanks for the helpful answer though.

No problem on the answer, sorry it wasn't quite the one you wanted.  Maybe someone will come up with something else for you.  Good luck!
