I've had the phonen for about 2 and a bit months, and the LED notification light does not change to a different colour. I have managed to download an app from the Play Store called LED Tester which lets you select an LED colour on the app, then lock the phone to test it. However when choosing a colour other than white, the notification LED still blinks white.
There are no default settings for this as I understand. White = messages, Green = mails and Blue = Facebook.
You could try reinstalling the phone and check if you're able to see the different colors for different notifications.
the led indicator problably just works fine. when my phone is charging, in the computer of power adapter the eld works.. when i pull my phone out it suddenly stops.. tried everything in combination with the stamina mode. i hope this bug is working itself out with the new update
have you change the notification LED settings on other apps, such as whatsapp?

How was this issue resolved? I'm having an issue of the same kind with my Xperia L.

TL;DR only white LED for notification, fixed with with the illumination bar app from the play store.
I used SUS, but to no avail. I was wondering if there was a solution other then third party apps. The difference is that the Xperia L has a RGB LED.
