Large size folder in internal storage

I've some folders in internal storage eating up my internal storage. Is it ok to delete it?. Please help. 1gb is too much. Screenshot_2013-12-23-20-09-32.png

I cannot see the picture yet,what folders do you want to delete?

Its the DCIM'S thumbnails folder....ya u can delete it..infact i just deleted it in XL...after deleting check lost.dir folder and delete the file in it if exists..

Yes,delete thumbnails and lost.dir,restart.It should be ok.

Ok. I deleted it. Now the size of dcim folder is reduced. 

But, check the used space of sdcard. It's same. I didn't gain any extra space. How? The files are arranged in the descending order of their size. So the usage space must be roughly around 2.5 gb. Screenshot_2013-12-24-11-24-19.png

Did u delete the files in ur lost.dir folder and restart the phone ??

I can't find any lost folder in the internal storage. Yes, I've restarted my phone twice.

Akhi,its good that you have deleted the folder.But here's the twist,the Android OS will create another .thumbdata3 file each time you delete it.So you must first create a clone/dummy file.
