Keypad tones

I have set up the keypad tones on my xperia x10for when you select icons but after a few times of going in and out of applications, the tones stop and it's not until I switch my phone off and on again the tones start up again.  When I go into the settings and then to 'Audible Selection' it is still ticked so shoud be working! Any suggestions?

Do you use any task killing applications?

I have not got task killer installed on my phone, unless there is something else that could be causing it to stop working?!

Go to Settings> Sound & Display and mark the Audible Touch Tones check box. If you have done this already and still you are facing the problem, try a factory reset. For this got to Settings> SD Card,Usb> Factory Reset.
