keyboard does not appear even though there is a cursor

I have a Z1s and loved it until I started using the browser.  When I want to enter a password or web address the keyboard does NOT appear even though the cursor does show.  I have to tap and tap and tap and finally after many taps the keyboard will appear for about a second then go away.

This happens in some of the apps, too.

Is this going to be fixed by some software update? I hope.

What if you clear the data/cache on chrome

settings > apps > all > chrome > clear data/cache

That does not correct the issue. It happens not only in chrome but also several apps.

You might want to try clearing data for xperia keyboard in settings-apps-all.
