Key icon in notification panel

There is a key icon beside the battery icon in the pull down notification tray and I don't know what that is and if it's something that I should just ignore or what. Some say it's VPN but some say it isn't. Any idea what that is?

That key shows up in my notification bar usually when running a VPN app, which means my connection can be monitored by others.

Do you have some kind of adguard? Perhaps your network is monitored somehow.

Try to boot in safe mode and see if the same occurs.

I believe I don't have... How do I boot to safe mode?

I've done booting it to safe mode and it's still there. So it means one of the preinstalled apps is causing this.😶
