Hi. Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this. I have a K800i mobile with a blank screen. It comes up with Sony Ericsson as it starts up and the network appeared as I turned it off but the rest of the time the screen is blank. The phone is lit up but the screen is just a fuzzy greyish-black. The screen is clearly on just not displaying anything like the background or icons.
I'm not too bothered if I can't get the phone working properly although I'd prefer it to. I do want to see if I can get any information off it though as I'm sure there are things stored on it.
What is the problem and how do I fix it?
Thanks.
There might be a hardware issue,my K850i had many problems with the display.2 times has been changed.
Indeed a ribbon might be loose or you might need a new LCD
Thanks. I just downloaded the PC companion. To connect via USB it says about selecting the USB mode on the phone, which obviously I can't see.
How does using that update service work? Will I need to select USB mode?
Try SUS as your phone has to be off
Anyone know how we can use SUS for the K800i given SUS is not supported?
1st July the service stopped working and now PC Companion dropped K800i support. This is a ongoing issue with previous SE phones, to pull support is not very good of Sony for a erom error they know can crop up at any time.
Hardly great given my K800i is having its white screen of death again
Any ideas people ?
Thanks in advance
