Jelly Bean? Sony agreed to 18months updates after the release day, is Sony keeping their word?

in I/O 2011 Sony Ericsson agreed to update for AT LEAST 18 months their devices, the Xperia Arc was released April 2011 which means that it should receive updates up to October but how about the LT15a which was released later on 2011 does it mean that it will get updates until december more or less?

but the MOST important question is, Is Sony going to keep their promise to update their phones for AT LEAST (not up to) AT LEAST 18months as Sony agreed at I/O 2011 ?

they should add all 2010, 2011 and 2012 Xperias, it's ridiculous that the iphone 3GS will get iOS 6 in few hours a 3year 3months old phone will get the latest update.

It's really sad, we are in mid september and don't have a definitive answer from Sony about the JB update.

You have to remember thaApple oly makes for one phone, and along with that the operating system is made by them and their upgrades to other phones arn't much more of a difference (GUI wise) so they can port back as far as the want. However if you look at Android every update they have had from 1.0 - ICS (I'm not counting JB as yet due to its an definite upgrade of ICS with minor but very interesting and perfomance enhanced changes of which I would really like Sony to hurry up and tell us on their updates.) they're has been major updates and GUI interface changes requiring more than what they can offer.

Would really like to hear some more news on Jellybean, the last sign of news of any updates on Jelly Bean itself was in July, and latest on development was August with the Xperia S joining the AOSP.

That's true that apple has one phone well actually 4, 3GS, 4, 4S and 5. and also 3 ipads and multiple ipods, Sony shouldn't release so many low end phones. the sony UIX slows the phone and it's not as great as the vanilla android.
