JB and the Xperia GO ...

Here's a direct quote from Sony,

"The next Sony software rollout for Xperia P, Xperia go and Xperia E dual is starting this week – it is a phased process and will ramp up over this month and next*

This was posted on the 24th April 2013. All information we have regarding this has been posted on our Product Blog and can be viewed by following the link below:

Well, as it's now 29th May which is over a month now since the above statement was put out by Sony ... the only question seems to be ... WHAT ON EARTH ARE SONY PLAYING AT ?!?!?!?!

Rolling out software updates isn't too difficult an operation to organise ... or has Sony fallen back into it's 'couldn't care less about the customers now we have their money' attitude which cost it huge chunks of market share over recent times ?!?!??!?!?

Come on Sony, get your finger out ! This is the 21st century, and we have all sorts of wonderful pieces of kit available to use ... and new fangled things called computers so there's NO reason why you shouldn't be able to accomplish this task with ease !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please read the below link so that you may have an understanding of the process involved with a software rollout. Whilst I appreciate the frustration I can assure you it is not as simple as you may believe:

Complete and utter nonsense !

I've been working in this industry for a lonnnggggg time and am well aware of the difficulties of co-ordinating such an exercise !

However, the bottom line here is that Sony are making promises which they obviously can't keep and in doing so, the whole exercise has become counter productive.

That said, a company the size of Sony should have enough experience and resources available to them in order to fulfil this undertaking.

Due to the down right lies and contradictions which the company are spouting, they are alienating huge swathes of the user community and doing themselves no service to boot!

The whole thing smacks of corporate incompetence and apathy and it is doing so much damage to their reputation that I believe it will take a longgggggggggggggggggggg time to heal the rift that has developed between the company and the end users.

I for one will DEFINITELY NOT be purchasing any further phones/products from this ailing conglomerate once my contract is up ... and I am NOT ALONE in this response to the appalling performance of Sony !!!!!!
