Itunes library is empty in Media Sync

Hi,

When starting Media Sync my computer library shows up as completely empty. Would greatly appreciate any advice on how to solve this.

Thanks!

Edit:

Forgot to mention that I have a Xperia Arc and am using a Macbook Pro.

Thanks Uliwooly. I might check it out if anyone else doesn't have any suggestions on how to actually make Media Sync work with the Itunes library.

Hi,

first, try removing the Media Sync preferences file

Quit both Media Sync and iTunes

Goto

"Home" folder->Library->Preferences

and locate the file named "com.sonyericsson.Sony_Ericsson_Media_Sync.plist"

Delete that file and then restart Media Sync. If it doesn't find the music library it should at least ask for it.

If it still doesn't work, to get some clue to why it isn't working, could you see if the iTunes library file exists:

At

"Home" folder->Music->iTunes there should be a file called "iTunes Music Library.xml"

Does it exist?

Best regards

just a follow up, did you ever get this to work?

We're working with this problem now, and what you probably experienced is a corrupt iTunes XML file. I'm keen on solving this issue, and I wonder if you would be ok with sharing your iTunes XML file with me? I would be able to see the names of anything you have in your iTunes library but no sensitive information like accounts or user names and it's only for my private use in order to test that we are able to read corrupt files. Let me know here if you are willing to do that, and I'll give you contact info to send it to.

Best regards
