Dont charge overnight. Charge only 2-2,5 hours, untill its fully charged.
There is no such thing as overcharge for Li-Ion batteries. But you should charge your phone often and when you charge it fully, check it in settings-about phone-status,it will say full. But in your case, repair via sony update service:

Why do you keep suggesting to repair via SUS? It's already a known bug with the 4.3 software, that quite often goes away by itself after using the new software for about a week. My T was turned off in the morning for days and then after 6 it just stopped doing it and hasn't done it again. But when I flashed .199 it started doing it again - 4 days. Same when I repaired .295 - 5 days.
Repair doesn't fix this bug, it prolongs it! If you are patient enough to put up with it for days and are also lucky you may find it will go away by itself like it did for me. But whatever you do don't reinstall another bugged ROM if you've had this bug go away because it will start it off again. I'm sticking with what i've got now until we know if there's going to be yet another certification that maybe will fix bugs once and for all. Safe charge is a solution but not a proper one in my book.
A temporary solution for this bug is:
Dont charge overnight. Charge only 2-2,5 hours, untill its fully charged.
And its not about the battery, its the software, something overcharging protection or what.
