I have a Neo V from TIM Brasil(but using it with a Claro Brasil SIM card) and after the ICS update, the cell info widget takes two rows(that it don't need, it's only one row tall) and with a weird vertical stripe). This is annoying, because it wastes space and the stripe is ugly.
(If someone is wondering, the language in the screenshots is portuguese.)
that's up to your network to fix, since they added that widget

I'm quite sure every Sony sold in Brazil have that widget, because carriers here must by law show the local area code on screen.
that's an odd law, I see that you can delete it, do you must have it at all times or what exactly is your question?

I keep it because i want to see it sometimes.
Anyways, it's just an small bug.
(About the cell info widgets, I saw phones from another manufacturers with similar widgets. Even the Galaxy Nexus has one!)
but shouldn't you know your area code? there should be other apps on the market
