I've been playing with my phone for about two weeks since my carrier finally pushed it out. I wish i could go back though as now I have issues with wifi, smartlock and touch screen sensitivity.
Wifi - i've reset network, reparied instlall and full wipe but still have issues staying connected to wifi at work and home which i never had issues before upgrading even turning on developer mode and turning on legacy dhcp doesn't help. It will connnect and work fine but then after a while will show as connected, no internet. To me it seems like when the signal drops or the dhcp lease resets it doesn't reconnect properly. I also notice it does a very poor job of handing off from one AP to another as i have 3 ap's in my house and it won't connect to the next one till it loses connection with the other so i've unknowingly used mobile data because of this.
smartlock - everytime i go to add a location i get a google play services has stopped error and it closes. I work in an office and don't like to have to enter a password everytime i pick up my phone, i have a password so it locks the device when not in use in the outside world but when inside where i have no concerns of someone looking at my phone i don;t want to have to unlock it.
Touch screen - i now have frequent pocket dials, screen reacitign to my finger being half an inch away from the screen. Again i shouldn't have to lock my device to prevent this the screen should not be so sensitive tht i can use it with out touching it.
I like being a beta tester and are currently signed up on multiple apps on my phone to beta test the new releases, even was a tester with blackberry from ver 5 to 10 and can handle bugs and issues when i know i'm on a beta build and can revert back to a lower build if the issue is too intrusive. In this case it's a publicly released build and no way to revert back.
Hopefully this is not just a me thing and others have these issues and you fix them soon. If only the carriers would release them faster so the fixes get to us sooner.
some issues you are expereinceing are already ask numerous times, try to search them using the search bar above.,
unfortunately, sony wont be able to adress this issues since the update was modified and pushed by your network carrier, try to contact them and send your feedback
I did search out these items and there is nothing i've come across for marshmallow and the M4. The carrier said other than testting compatability the issues i'm having are to do with Sony features and to contact sony.
Wish i had never bougth a Sony should have bought a better supported product.
I have had the wifi issue and still have it after multiple repairs (basicly my experience of the phone has been waiting for it to return from repairs).
