Issue with sending SMS

I have typed an SMS and added the recipient but still the send option is not enabled. Iam able to receive messages. i have killed the message app and i have started back. tried reboot of device many times. Please suggest.

Try clearing the messaging apps data.

Menu > Settings > Apps > Messaging > Clear Data.

This could also be a network related issue, you should also try downloading the network settings.

Menu > Settings > More > Internet Settings > Accept Disclaimer > Choose network carrier.

Try booting the device in to Safemode and let me know if it continues.

It doesnt work even in safe mode.

Now when i try the below option i get an error "Please insert sim card"

This could also be a network related issue, you should also try downloading the network settings.

Note: Mobile data works fine. And able to make and receive calls without any problem.

Although Data works fine on the device, you still need to have appropriate settings on the device, this is why I advised to download the Internet settings the way I did.

However the error message tells me this could be the SIM card playing up, can you test with a friend or family members to see if the same issue occurs?

Thanks for ur support. I did a Factory reset of the phone and that did the trick. Now its working fine!!!
