Issue with GPS and Compass after official ICS upgrade on LT18i

Please suggest a solution to my problem:

I bought sony ericsson Arc s Lt18i.....upgraded it via PC companion to ICS 4.1.B.0.587...

After it screen rotation stopped working....I did not check GPS...but compass and accelrometer werent working as well...

I wanted to downgrade to GB...... ran a search and found Nabeel's help thread http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/35239

I downloaded the GB rom  4.0.2.A.0.62 and flashed it...

Now after this rom...screen rotation works...accelerometer works....compass and GPS arent working.....

please suggest wot to do......should i root it and install custom rom..........

It sounds like you may be using Google Maps. Google Maps in ICS also requires a gyroscope while Google Maps in GB only needs compass/accelerometer for rotation.
Xperia arc S does not have a gyroscope which is why rotation is not working in Google Maps when you update to ICS.

No im not using google maps

i tried it with advanced tools and also from services menu

when i go to compass it says this device doesnot support this function

please help me

That sounds strange, it works fine when i test them here in .587.

Try making a repair of the phones software using PC Companion and then try the compass and accelerometer from the phones service menu and see if they work there. To access the service menu, open the dialer and dial *#*#7378423#*#*.

I am facing same issue no screen rotation, no compass no gps, I've tried almost everything even i've got my handset replaced with another but the problem arised in next handset after i updated it to ICS, compass was not working on G.B as well (in both sets) however sony's official statement says that it comes with digital compass
