Issue deleting photos stored in XperiaU from Media Go

Hey community,

I've recently updated the device (Xperia U) OS from Android v2.3.7 Gingerbread to Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, also the PCCompanion along side with Media Go to 2.3.

Since then, i've been having an issue (and others app related, but i'm updating them all to see if it solves), but the more recent issue is not being able to delete photos stored in the phone from Media Go, i go to Xperia U(ST25)>Photos>Right Click photo>Delete, after this the status in the summary menu goes to "Updating device Xperia U(ST25)(0%)" but does not progress any further then 0%.

Is this or are there any know issues from the last update? Could someone help me :smileyconfused:?

Thanks a bunch,

Rui Miranda

Anyone else that have faced the same complication? I haven't heard of it at all before, concerning any model.

Can you delete them via Windows/iOS own file manager? Slightly_smiling_Face

Hi thanks for the reply,

Tryied deleting from Windows Explorer/File Manager, got an error: "***.jpg could not be deleted. The device has either stopped respondig or has been disconnected".

Tryied rebooting the phone, the pc, same thing, also tried this in 2 different machines, Windows XP and Windows 7, same error Anguished_Face

is there any good aproach into solving this? i'm afraid of doing something wrong...

UPDATE:

So after some googling decided to do a Factory Reset (the easy-way  through settings) all went well, and it seems to have solved the issue with deleting from PC, but one issue still persists: also before the Factory Reset and after the ICS update i was having problems with the WiFi , when i turned the phone on it, it searches and connects to any given WiFi   but after a while, if i try to turn off the WiFi (through settings) it looks like it freezes a bit, if i go back in the menu and forward again to see the WiFi status it's still on, and also if i scan for WiFis it does nothing. The only solution is to reboot the phone...i've done some searching and a lot of people are having similar issues with ICS update (although most of them have Samsung devices)

Is anyone having the same issue? Maybe a Factory Reset (the hard-way through boot) will solve this?
