I do not use Hangouts. Is there any way to remove Hangouts, GMail, altogether as they are of no use to me?
Why would you bother? They can be ignored and take up little space. The only way to remove stock applications would be to root your phone and use a program such as Titanium Backup which can delete stock applications. Rooting, however, may jeopardize your warranty. My advice since you had to ask this questions, is ignore them. You could do more harm than good by trying to remove.
rooting does not void your warranty, but touching BootLoader would void your warranty.
Just disable the apps
Settings > apps > all > select the app > disable
