Is my Z2 DEAD?

Hi

Have had the phone for about 2 weeks now with no issues but today, suddenly it's switched itself off and is not turning back on.

If I connect it to a charger the LED just blinks red

I have tried, with and without the charger plugged in

-: power and volume up
-: power and volume down
-: pressing the red button next to the sim card

all with no joy.

Any thoughts? Is it RIP z2?

Keep it charging at a wall socket for 2 hours,repair with SUS:

Update - managed to get the phone switched on after leaving it on charge all night. Had to hold the power button down for 30 secs to get to my home screen as otherwise it was just looping to the Sony logo.

However, now, the phone is not charging - it detects that a charger is connected but the battery level is not going up and the LED is constant orange.

Will using SUS resolve this? 

Scared to turn the phone off and try charging incase it fails altogether again...

Also noticed that the phone 'thinks' its still charging even without a charger connected - and the orange LED is constant.

Looks like the battery is kabooshed?

Take your z2 to the nearest service center for a good fix, seems like courrupted software issue.

You could try SUS,if it does not help,get to a sony service.
