Frankly, the most prominent distortion that I see in these pictures is classic perspective distortion (e.g doors appearing wider at the top than at the bottom), which happens to be an inherent property of every traditional photo camera in existence. In other words, when the doors in your pictures look wider at the top than at the bottom - it is entirely your fault, not the camera fault. Every camera in the world will produce exactly the same perspective distortion for you if you take a picture from the same vantage point.
There's also barrel/pincussion distortion present in these pictures, but it is rather well controlled.
For which reason I can't help wondering what specifically do you refer to as "horrible results". Can you pick a specific picture and point out a specific problem?
